Camp Employees & Volunteers
 

All paid employee applicants will be required to complete a virtual application at Lifespan.org. Some on-boarding tasks are required.

Camp Staff Positions

Camp runs 35-40 hours per week and some weekend hours are required for camp set-up. Volunteers will work with Camp Directors and Staff to prepare for camp.

Direct links to staff positions will be made available in March of 2025.

During the three weeks of camp, staff and volunteers will be designated specific campers to work with as either a 1:1 or 2:1 throughout each week; their purpose is to ensure the health, safety, and general well-being of campers. Staff will also assist in maintaining a highly structured, safe, appropriate, and fun-filled Camp WANNAGOAGAIN! program.

Open Positions- over 18

  • Autism Camp Lead 
    • Camp Leads provide leadership and supervision of support staff and campers, ensure health, safety and general wellbeing of campers, and implement & maintain a highly structured, safe, appropriate, fun-filled program.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, or related field or extensive experience working with the people with an intellectual disability and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder, required.

       

  • Autism Camp Co-Lead
    • Camp Co-Leads Assist Lead Counselor with supervision of support staff and campers and ensure health, safety and general wellbeing of campers to implement & maintain a highly structured, safe, appropriate, and fun-filled program.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, or related field, preferred.
       
  • Lifeguard
    • Lifeguards uphold the rules and the guidelines of the pond to ensure the safest environment for all campers & staff. 
    • Must be 16 years old by the start of camp (July 21, 2025)
    • Waterfront Certification, CPR Certification and Basic First Aid certification, required.
       
  • Nurse Summer Camp
    • The Camp Nurse ensures the health and safety of all on-site campers, team members, and visitors.  The Camp Nurse administers basic first aid and medications and responds to emergencies as necessary.
    • Valid license as a Professional RN, required.
       
  • One-to-One
    • One-to-One Camp Counselors ensure the health, safety, and general well-being of campers in a fun-filled summer program.
    • Must be 18 years old by the start of camp (July 21, 2025)

Camper-to-Camper program! 14 and up

Peer Camper is a new support position at Camp WANNAGOAGAIN! Peer Campers must be at least 14 years old at the time of camp and submit the application packet provided below. As a Peer Camper, you will support your fellow campers in all camp activities while serving as a role model, making new and lasting friendships, and having fun!
