Teaching & Learning
Educators and parents created The Autism Project to find, learn, and bring to Rhode Island the evidence-based programs that enabled them to better support individuals with ASD in their own homes and classrooms. Since 1997, we have continued to expand our knowledge and capabilities to support individuals with ASDs, developmental delays or diagnosed disabilities, and social-emotional challenges.
We preach what we practice. ©
We highly value educating ourselves and the parents, caregivers, professionals, and community members who turn to us for reliable information and advice. The Autism Project offers modeling and coaching in schools and organizations, multiple workshops and training series for parents and professionals, and a National Speaker Conference each spring. As a team of educators and parents, we are lifelong learners - we are constantly seeking out innovative, evidence-based approaches that we can practice and share.
Our approach is multi-disciplinary, tailored, collaborative, and action-oriented. We work alongside you to implement individualized programs and deliver customized trainings that support your goals.
