How to Give to The Autism Project
Your gifts are our primary source of funding, and we use every dollar with great care. You help us to work toward improving the lives of children and adults with ASD and the people who support them, and to build communities in which individuals with ASDs and other social-emotional, communication, and regulation challenges are valued, participating members.
Make a One-Time Donation
There are several easy ways to make a one-time donation to The Autism Project.
- Donate online now!
- Call (401) 785-2666 and donate over the phone.
- Send your check donation to our address (see the sidebar on the righthand side) with a note detailing what type of gift you are giving.
If you would like to make a donation In Memory Of or Tribute to a loved one, click here to donate now and select "Send Memorial or Tributes to The Autism Project". Once your gift is received, we will send a card from The Autism Project to the honoree or family acknowledging the gift. Please indicate the individual's name and an address for us to send an acknowledgment to the individual or family.
Cash contributions qualify for a charitable income tax deduction up to 50 percent of a donor's annual adjusted gross income. Any unused portion of the deduction may be carried-over for up to five years.
Make Monthly Donations
Becoming a monthly donor is a simple process and provides ongoing support for our work.
Donate online and select “Make This Donation Monthly.” Your gift will be taken out automatically each month; you can adjust your giving level or cancel your commitment at any time.
Make a Multi-Year Pledge
By spreading payments over a period —typically five years or less — multi-year pledges allow you to make a larger commitment and fulfill it at a comfortable pace.
If you are interested in a multi-year pledge, or a gift through a donor-advised fund, please contact Kristen Steiner, Senior Development Manager.
Run a Fundraiser
Community fundraisers are any project or activity that a community member, group, or company wants to organize to raise funds for The Autism Project. ANYTHING counts as a community fundraiser – yard sales, lemonade stands, fun runs, musical events, sports exhibitions, etc. Email us for ideas or assistance!
Volunteer
Volunteering your time and expertise helps TAP to raise awareness about our mission and continue to provide our resources and services to the community.
Give an In-Kind Gift
The Autism Project encourages and appreciates gifts in kind. Instead of giving money to buy needed goods and services, the goods and services themselves are donated. If you or your company have goods or services that you would like to donate to TAP, please contact Kristen Steiner.
