Caren Skurka, M.S., MOT, OTR/L
Social Groups Program Manager
What I do at TAP:
I get to work and play with some of the best children, young adults, families, and professionals in Rhode Island! I help kids and young adults feel more comfortable in a group setting so they can have fun and learn how to make friends.
My professional bio:
I hold a B.S. in Speech and Language Disorders and an M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling. I also have a Masters in Occupational Therapy and have been working as a pediatric OT for 18 years. I’ve had the opportunity to work in Early Intervention, in pre-school and public school settings, and here at The Autism Project.
I have participated in various trainings, including Radiant Child Yoga, levels 1-3, the University of North Carolina TEACCH Autism Program, and Conscious Discipline's Summer Institute.
