Who Can Register for a HEZ Training?

You can register for the HEZ trainings if you meet one or both of the following criteria:

1) You are a parent or guardian of children ages birth - 5 who live in one the following towns: Woonsocket (02895), Bristol (02809), Warren (02885) or Central Providence (02908, 02909).

2) You are a professional supporting children ages birth - 5 who live in one the following towns: Woonsocket (02895), Bristol (02809), Warren (02885) or Central Providence (02908, 02909).

What Trainings Are Available?

For Parents/Guardians:

Parent-to-Parent Developmental: Parent-to-Parent Developmental is a series taught for parents, by parents. Over a period of 5 weeks (1.5 hours per week), the group will discuss strategies for monitoring child development and supports to implement when developmental concerns are present. In addition, the group will learn positive advocacy techniques, and methods of building a collaborative care team. For more information and to sign up, please go to the following links:

For Parents And Professionals:

"Autism Thinking" Workshop Series: The Autism Thinking Workshop Series begins on October 7th from 5:30-7:30PM, and continues for 4 consecutive weeks. Each week, participants will discuss a new topic (from child development, to the characteristics of autism, to the use of visual supports, and finally on to self-regulation). This workshop series is available to any parent or professional supporting children in Woonsocket, Bristol, Warren, or Central Providence. Individual Workshops: For those interested in a single workshop, we are also offering "Creating the Connections", "Understanding Autism," "Visual Supports in Practice" and "Positive Behavior Supports." Each of these workshops is 2 hours long, and provides 2 Early Learning CEUs.
