Program Facilitator & Coordinator
What I do at TAP:
I coordinate and facilitate The Autism Project's Peer Mentor Program and TAP's Leadership Program. I also serve as Direct Support staff for TAP's Social Skills Program and Camp Counselor for Camp WANNAGOAGAIN!
One fun fact about me is:
I love to travel and explore. From camping among dingoes on a remote desert island off the coast of Australia, to being trapped in a one-road town in an avalanche, to hiking to the summit of a mountain in hurricane force winds, I always find adventure in my explorations!
I have 15 years of experience working in home-based, community, and school settings with children and young adults with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. I began working at TAP as a direct support staff and camp counselor/lifeguard. I left in 2005 to pursue my Master's in Teaching at Johnson & Wales University and reconnected with TAP in 2013. I am RI-certified in Elementary Education, Elementary Special Education, Middle School Special Education, and Secondary Special Education, and a member of the International Honor Society of Psychology (Psi Chi).
