Sensory-Friendly Performance of Dr. Suess's How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
Dr. Suess' How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Musical!
Providence Performing Arts Center is partnering with The Autism Project to host sensory-friendly performances this holiday season. PPAC will present Dr. Suess's How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Musical! on Saturday, 12/21/19 at 11:00 a.m. Tickets are 10% off with the code 'Cindylou'.
This performance will create a guest experience that is welcoming, judgment-free, and inclusive of guests on the autism spectrum or with other developmental or cognitive disabilities or sensory sensitivities. These performances were created to foster a welcoming setting for these individuals and their families, and other guests who might benefit from a more relaxed theatrical environment.
Sensory-friendly modifications include:
- House lights and production sound levels will be kept at a low level throughout the performance.
- Strobe, moving, and blinking lights will be eliminated.
- Designated quiet areas will be staffed with skilled employees from The Autism Project and will be available in the Lobby.
Patrons requiring seating accommodations or any other accessibility services should call the Box Office in advance to make arrangements.
